Day 32

Day 32
October 9, 2015

We awoke this morning to a steady rain in Seymour, Texas.  This is good news for this area as they need the rain.  I checked the radar and could tell the rain would pass quickly so I waited another 45 minutes to start riding.  The ride along highway 114 from Seymour to Jacksboro is rolling through ranch country.  The wind began as a light breeze and as the day progressed so did the wind.  Most of the day it was blowing from the side but began to be more or a headwind in the early afternoon.

After stopping at a Dairy Queen in Olney, Texas for a cookie dough Blizzard, I met Marilyn and Mary for lunch at a roadside picnic area.  Marilyn and I enjoyed having our sister-in-law, Mary Clements, join us for a couple of days.  She left today to spend some time with her mother and family here in Texas.

After lunch I continued on to Jacksboro, Texas where we stopped for the night.  Tomorrow I plan to head over to Denton.  From there I will take a quick break and drive into Fort Worth where we look forward to being with St. Andrews Episcopal Church for Sunday services.
