Day 31

Day 31
October 8, 2015

Today was another special day for me as I was privileged to ride with a great group of cyclists.  Several riders from the Childress Cycling Club joined me for the ride out of Childress as we were escorted, once again, by Childress’ Finest.   We ended up riding together 50 miles and stopped in Crowell, Texas for a tasty lunch at Tater’s Café.  I can’t fully express how much it means to me to have the opportunity to ride with such wonderful people.  Along the way we enjoy great conversation and I really feel I have gained some great friends.  Marilyn and I hope to visit Childress again one day.  It is truly a great town made up of some very special and talented people.  Thank you, again, Childress, for taking such good care of us during our stay.  Go Bobcats!

After leaving our friends in Crowell I rode the remaining 45 miles to Seymour.  I traveled through some beautiful and remote ranch country.  Saw a few cows and enjoyed traveling on roads with virtually no traffic.  I made great time and got into Seymour by 4:30.  For dinner we enjoyed steaks at the Rusty Spur bar – really good steaks!
