We awoke this morning to a steady rain in Seymour, Texas. This is good news for this area as they need the rain. I checked the radar and could tell the rain would pass quickly so I waited another 45 minutes to start riding.

Today was another special day for me as I was privileged to ride with a great group of cyclists. Several riders from the Childress Cycling Club joined me for the ride out of Childress as we were escorted, once again, by Childress’ Finest.

Our very good Brevard friend, Tore Borhaug, caught up with us last night in Canadian, Texas. We enjoyed dinner and this morning Tore cooked us a hearty breakfast before he hit the road heading home. It was great fellowship for a Sunday morning.

Today I crossed the half way point on my journey. Marilyn, Celeste and I stopped at Fowler, Colorado to take a picture. We have enjoyed having my sister-in-law Celeste Rault travel with us these last couple of days.
