Today we covered a good bit of ground riding from Arco, Idaho to Ririe, Idaho which is east of Idaho Falls. Total mileage was 89.

Today the wind shifted and blew from the Southwest giving me a strong tail wind the entire day. Praise God!

Day 8September 15 Today we left Boise in the early dawn and ended the day in Gooding, Idaho.  113 miles of riding strong headwind all afternoon, 5420 total calorie burn.  Hot shower and a big mexican dinner in town...going to bed now.  P.S.  Idaho is beautiful but if anyone knows where the prevailing westerly wind is please send him my way.

Day 7

Today is our first rest day in Boise, Idaho and a very welcomed one at that. Marilyn and I were sad to say goodbye to our Water Cycle companions from Seattle: Pete and Darcy Welch and Tom Garren.

Today was our final day of Stage 1 taking us from Farewell Bend State Park, Oregon to Boise, Idaho. The total mileage was just over 80 miles and a fairly easy day with no significant climbing.
